A pebble gatherer's re-used vegetable bag blew away, caught on these slipway railings, and helped this shot taken during a recent particularly high tide at Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Very nice composition, I just with you had used a slower shutter speed on the water :(

The railings draw you in and the splash of colour adds a touch, but overall it's missing that something that would hold my attention for long.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I took this shot on a bracing seaside walk - no tripod. I've never taken a shot with blurred water - seen plenty though. The image appealed to me for the foreground splash of colour against the more subdued colours of the sea. The rail was a strong leading line, and the waves were breaking at right angles to the rail, so compositional elements sort of fell into place. A great shot? No. But I think it's OK. Feel free to differ :) .

Regards, Tony

Your own assessment is fine. Good (for composition) but not great (not quite enough interest) but worth taking for sure!

Thanks for sharing.

I like the water... makes a change from the usual blurry approach. :)
