Historic rally Festival - Weston Park and Hatton Grange

Historic rally festival last weekend at western park. A 2 venue event with 12 stages - Designed to evoke memories of those great stately home, circuit and park Sundays of years gone by.

I spoke to on of the organisers and cheekily suggested they should have tried Sutton Park (my local and a classic RAC venue) - He said that Birmingham city council were approached but did not even entertain sending a reply… oh well…

What a terrific event all the same and Weston is a classic venue too, and an event that’s set to grow and grow - despite the At times appalling weather!

Lots of Grp B, Grp A and WRC machines - all be it a lot of recreations, fantastic for me at least to hear those turbo whistles and anti lag popping and banging of the 90s. Something along with opposite lock sadly missing from Modern rallying

Whatever you feel about your photos and whether you have a favourite or not you've made me want to be there and made me start to consider how I'd have shot these scenes so well done for having told a story.
My favourite (if I must)? the first one of the Scooby. Your image is full of things to look at, edge to edge.

Thanks - I do like those ones - taken at 12mm about 1/50s or lower - came out really well.

Was improvising as opposite was some babes hay bales, a Marshall and another photographer which I wanted to avoid being in shot
