That is really a very nice image WC ... ... could stand a ittle sharpening and a touch of darkening perhaps but as it stands it is lovely and the background is excellent ...

yes, lovely shot, we have a whole squadren of these fellas picking the pampas grass to death for nesting, must get my camera out...your shot is a cracker.

Venomator... i tried sharpening a bit more but the tufty bit on the birds chest over-sharpened a lot compared to the rest of the bird. Guess i should have selectively sharpened it
