Hoverfly larvae is so very weird they are like slimey blobs.

Grear set, great variety of angles on the ladybird larvae.

Carl - it would have been an aphid or a mite of some kind. By the time I spotted it, the meal was likely half eaten!

Paul these are amazing! 2 subjects I've tried to capture on numerous occasions and never really been satisfied with the results. The light on the Hoverfly is amazing along with the detail you've managed to get from the ladybird's head. I find these really challenging, but you've captured both brilliantly.

Lady larva are a pain being black - it absorbs the light and makes it harder.
