Last Sunday, i was trying to capture some close up images of a very flighty male Orange Tip Butterfly. Although i had a few record shots/images in the bag, im always pushing to get in a little closer.
I use Autofocus(comes in handy for fast flying insects) an i guess the camera locked onto the Hoverfly, as it flew infront of the Butterfly. I didnt see this until i got home an uploaded the images. Since the butterfly is way out of focus, i would have normally deleted this image, but the in-flight Hoverfly looks to be in focus, so i dont mind keeping it.
I didnt get any real good images of the Orange Tip, it was the only one on the wing during a 4 hour session, but its the 8th Species of butterfly seen by me this season, so it wasnt all bad.
Cheers Paul. Image is not cropped.
