Ok I never take bird photos. I am a macro fan but this turned up un-expected about 30minutes ago in the garden!! Sorry if the quality is bad it was totally un-planned and rushed!!

Thanks all. My first time other than one pigeon that was a disaster.

Ive seen him a couple of times but next door up a tree. Today he just landed right outside the window so I had to have a go! Not bad considering its through the window too. The L is a truely nice lens to work with.

They are fairly common here ( Angus) but not so often sen as the Great Spotted
