I went down in the woods today ....

1. Muted colours

2. A timber "cannon"? This is where I wanted sunlight though the mist

Thank you all for your lovely comments - will it spoil it if I say that No 1 had quite a lot of processing - two layers, one with clarity reduced and one increased with some selective erasing of one to show the other to give the distance that soft feel.

Pleased I went out early yesterday as today it is raining

Hi Christine ... such a stunning set, each image in itself is gorgeous and tells a story. You are so lucky to have native woods of deciduous trees.

Thank you - yes I am lucky, especially as it starts in my garden and I just have to go out the gate to be able to wander around it.

Later I will start a post of my own featuring a very similar woods in Illinois, USA where I shot a wedding not long ago.

And btw, my partner is a Sussex girl from Bexhill upon Sea. She'll be visiting there next April / May.
