Yes
Some forums have a way to mark threads "solved". I find this very helpful. One is Mr Excel, which also uses XenForo.

I don't see a way to do that here. Is this something that is being considered?

Why would you want to mark something solved?
Most of the threads are on going discussions.
You can unwatch a thread if it bothers you.

Some threads are ongoing discussions. Others are specific questions seeking an answer. The solved flag helps distinguish them. On MrExcel, threads that are marked solved are helpful to people wanting an answer to the same question.

Why would XenForo provide a solved option it is as useless as you suggest?

I didn't say anything about being bothered.

I never used the word useless, nor did I suggest it was.
Maybe it is useful for other forums, but not this one, so the short answer is no.
As above, just un-watch the thread, if you have no further interest in it,
that way you will get no more notifications.

If it is your thread you can edit the thread title .... "xxxxxxxxx - SOLVED!", or say so in a post in the thread :)

That is one solution. Thanks.

On MrExcel, which I consider very well run, the "Solved" flag is mainly for the benefit of others who may be looking for a solution.

Its just a shame that this one isn't well run just because we don't have flags eh?
As we both know, even older threads continue to gather more information, or questions as techniques and technology move on.

"Talk Photography" is far more complicated than a questions and answers forum.
