Jersey Tiger Moth, (Euplagia quadripunctaria) …………. It is a day-flying moth of the family Arctiidae ……… posted for interest as the image is not that good, but I do not think many are seen outside southern UK, but apparently they are moving gradually northwards …….. any sightings?

Flew into the house and landed on the window pane, glass

What a beautiful moth. Puts many butterfly's to shame.

Not a bad pic either tbh. Plenty of detail & lovely colours.

I too think its a great shot bBill, great colours on this moth.
Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if the WW1 bi plane got it's name from a moth?

There was also the Gipsy Moth
