Yes I know every one will say avoid. Yes I knows image quality always degrades with teleconverters. Yes I know it will loose 3 hole f stops. Yes according Kenko/Tokina it does not even support auto focus. But there was one on ebay and I put a silly low offer in. Yes I was drunk at the time ( works party )
Well the seller accepted the offer and the Kenko 3x teleconvverter arrived today. The first thing I noticed was it still had a screw drive. Odd I thought as it did not support auto focus. Anyhow I mounted it to the la ea4 attached to my a7. I was shocked to hear the focus motor spark up. Interesting I thought. A quick test shows it actually focuses and it does so rather quickly.
I have not had a chance to do a good test of image quality yet. I may have a play at the weekend if I have some free time.
