An unexpected bonus at Whipsnade today, I knew it was there,
But as yet, as far as I know, had kept its head down, I bet it wished it had too!

Cum 'ere you!

....................................................................................
No Panda's were harmed in the making of this sequence,
but you should have heard it squeal when it got dragged back into the nest box,
for a wash and brush up :D

@Tintin124
See I told you there were panda's ;)

Brilliant news and nicely documented ;)

See you did get some 'alf decent shots Chris, or just good PP work... Consider yourself lucky as it looked like I had scared them away at first lol

Got some alright ones on the phone too... well good enough for the missus to go ahhhhh....

Absolutely adorable.
Poor little bugger though...first thing he sees when he gets dragged out is old snakey  :runaway:

Cheers Neil (y)
Apparently it (Just the one) was born in June,
They kept that quiet for awhile but I heard a whisper about a month ago
And have been on the look out since then ;)

Documented indignity :D

TBH I was really struggling to get a focus lock for some reason today.
I think the lens needs a slap TBH :D
I threw loads away, these aren't perfect either, but at least its documented :)

Glad you got something too :)

Absolutely adorable.

Well you can see the sprog sticking his tongue out in #5 :D

And actually "dragged out" is right too, dad dived in the box, dragged him out,
went for a wander with it, stuffed it back in the box, and repeated, a few times :D

He got to see me as well! :D
Totally damaged for life, no amount of counselling will eradicate the memory of us both :D
Hope you got some keepers Marc?

Thanks Nod, your comments are appreciated as always (y)

The cub is not free ranging, as yet and can barely stand on it own 2 mean 4 feet.
Dad was dragging it around all over the show, including up the tree.
And shoving it back in the nest box.
It only came out as it was unceremoniously dragged out.

But if you do make it up this way Chris, @Chris Wilson,
drop me a PM and I'll do my damnedest to meet up.

I do have a thing for red pandas and if I do head up your way Chris it'd be great to meet up!
They have a couple of cubs at the Highland Wildlife Park but we won't be up that way until next March.
We will however be heading to Mull next month..........woohoo!!

Oops, nearly forgot to say - it's another great set Chris.
cheers, cw

Cheers Pete, (y) I saw / got the last ones too,
but they were twice the size of this one, and were free roaming.

This one would appear to be just over 50-ish days old,
as they start to get their reddish colours about then.

Great set and commentary as always Chris. Given the cuteness of the pandas, I'd have to say one of you better sets too.

Cheers Ingrid :)

Dad just kept dragging it out of the nest box, stuffing it back in,
dragging it out again, up the tree, around the floor and repeated it a few times.

I guess he thought it needed the fresh air. :D
