It is a Harlequin Lady bird. You can tell by the black "M" pattern on the white/cream background in front of the wing cases,and the legs are brown and not black.

looks like Cream-streaked ladybird I think theres 30 different ladybirds in the UK
Believe it or not, there a website dedicated to Ladybird observation giving you the details of all the different types and keeping an eye on the spread of the new (bad) ones. The only problem is I can't remember what the site is called at the moment. Will post a link to it if I can find it.
