Landing Tern

First pic post from me - please be kind! (and it's a black-headed gull - I stand corrected!!)

Pic was taken by a river in Swanage, using a 70-200 f4L on my (now second to a 7D body) EOS 500D, ISO100, f5.6 1/1600th.

Well for a start it's not a Tern, it's a Black Headed Gull.

The pic itself is clear enough but could do with a wee bit more space on the right, it's far too central.

In focus, in frame and moving But space for him to fly into would improve the composition as mentioned above

Echo the others re composition...but I like the ripple that catches some light extending out from the gull's feet. Looking forward to more
