landsape or portrait (orientation)

Got these today, i prefer the portrait format but the car behind me meant i cut the hat on the right

landscape lacks impact for me, opinions?

Portrait, just for the fact that the hat looks like its on your head in a funny sort of way.

cool ta, i was just worried (in fact looking at it now i think i may go back in next couple of days) because cutting the right hand hat seems to have weakened the shot overall

I would have let the camera hang down and then take the shot, that would have made it more like you are wearing the hat. Nice idea though, and portrait works much better.

cheers but it was always meant to be as is with regard to camera-dropping camera would have put it into shot and that wasnt really what i was after


edit:actually maybe i misunderstood-did you mean putting the camera on the deck completely out of shot? that could work, hmmm maybe ill go back tomorrow and play about (if it's not too busy!)
