taken yesterday for a friends bands album cover for an album called "Girls Etc."

the picture will be spread over the cover with above the knees showing on the front and the feet on the back. might not be the final image and the band may play with it.

thought some of the men might like it...:nuts:

I like the concept but I think it definately needs a little more tweaking.
Personally Id lose the settee for a start, I can see what youre going for with the leather (I think) but to me it just makes it look shot in some-one's lounge (ignore me if thats the look you were going for).
Im not keen on the loss of the heel between the seats and I think the shoes could have been a bit sexier. The angular cut of the leather on the nearest shoe shouts 'office' to me, not sexy, and I also think you could do with a small 'pull' further down the stocking to stop the gaping hole at the top looking so manufactured.
Hope you dont mind my comments, just my opinions of course ... and I do like your idea!
 
Those legs are very shapely and very sexy, however picking up on what Inaglo has said, sorry them shoes don't work. They look to "everyday" if you're after the"tarty" look then you need to be looking at either a shiney glossy red or white shoe with the black fishnets. After all it's an album cover so it needs to stand head shoulders above the rest. Lose the sofa or put a coloured sheet over it, I like the hole in the thigh of the fishnets but as Inaglo says it looks to manmade, although I do like the lipstick lettering.

Overall a good start I'm sure with a bit "tarting" up it could be a winner.

Agree with Glo - could certainly look much more sexier, but i do like the idea :)

Nice idea, and echoing the views of others, she needs a pair of shoes suitable for a porn starlet... Not that I know what they look like, of course... ;)

I have to confess I didn't even notice the missing heel nor the sofa, but now InaGlo has mentioned it, I think she's probably right....
 
I think glo and mini should get together and show you how to strike the pose m8 :clap:

Really though, I agree with the others, need to see the heel, the shows need to be shiney and smooth and the sofa needs to be in contrast to the scrummy legs.
 
Beyond the call of duty shaving your legs like that jamie. Hmmm band might have play with it, are they going to let you have a play on their album?

They do the plinky plonky, you do the clicky clicky. I think the back will be dull mate. I think the shoes should have been red mate.
 
Awesome critique there by Inaglo Whitewash, I think she's just about nailed what's wrong with it - not that there isn't a lot right with it... including those legs!!! :naughty:
 
yeh i get what your all saying, but i dont know a thing about girls shoes (and i havent spent time with enough hookers to perfect the look.... :LOL: ) and i was just working with what i had available, the band seem to like them though which is good, not sure they are going for the full on hooker look!:LOL:

processed another few images, trying to get some sort of mood into to, iffy on the results, adding a bit of highlight in red to get a bit more of a look of seedyness into it

it was the first time out using 2 flash guns properly so im pretty chuffed you've picked on the visual aspects of the image rather than the technical

added a bit of red and yellow using the colour balance and tweeked the levels to highlight the light points, ive also got the heal in this one, rather than it disappearing. theres no writing on this one as we did a number of shots without the lipstick to allow post production if the lippy didnt work!

we took some on a bed as well against a white background but i didnt get the flash quite right on them IMHO....... should have had black satin sheets :p


i can see alot of improvements myself to the image but i doubt ill reshoot the images!
 
CD Cover looks great. Were they influenced by Spinal Tap at all? Just thinking of the 1st track title and drawing comparisons to that lovely piece of music Nigel Tufnel was playing on the piano in the Tap film... I'm sure you can remember what it's called... ;)

Aww Chris leave the drummers alone, they aint done nothing to you despite you trying to set one on fire not so long back.....

When I saw the first pic, I thought to myself red shoes, I'd have definately gone for red shoes, but having seen the final product, I'm changing my mind.
