Like Clockwork

Hi

I received my new cufflinks today, and as the weather took a turn for the worse i thought i would try to get a kind of commercial looking shot done of my watch and my new cufflinks

So, this is about 10 difference lit exposures with a softboxed speedlight then merged and edited in photoshop.

I saw this on Flickr, but I didn't realise how complicated to light it was, really good shot, shows them off well

Great looking shot that would not be out of place in a glossy magazine. Superb lighting that really shows off the details of the products. The only thing that I would change (if I even knew where to start with a shot like this) would be the reflection. It is most likely a result of the glass used, but it appears patchy in places (e.g. top left of the reflected watch) and all of it appears to be doubled up/moving. I am being incredibly picky even mentioning this, but I know I would want someone to point it out if it was my shot

Not black glass, just normal glass from a picture frame on top of a bit of black card.
