Another one from our trip to Liverpool - it really is a very photogenic city.

I would crop the image to eliminate the tree and then darken the sky which, in my opinion, would add drama to the composition. I am a minimalist at heart and prefer strong bold shapes and like the potential this image has to offer.

I do have some shots of this building without the trees but chose this one to give contrast between the very geometric building and the organic shapes of the trees, and hopefully add more interest. But I accept that I could just as easily gone down the 'KISS' route

EDIT and yes - darkening the sky is also an option to play with

I like the image but it lacks contrast. I agree the tree adds something. It would be a little stark without the tree.

Thanks Steve - just tried it with more contrast and I think it is better
