Just a few shots from a recent visit to the Bwlch, part of the Machloop on the A470 near Dolgellau in Wales.

some nice pics there

i think number 3 would look nice if it was cropped, too much of the dull hills

Nice shooting Pete, oh! for an F15:love:
Sometimes its nice to see the hills, gives a sense of scale.
Dean:)

Thanks Dean, not the best weather conditions, still getting use to the new (used) 1D MKIIn, but the F15 brightened up the day.

Nice captures of the f-15. We could hear them up there but they never came trough. Cant grumble though with us getting plenty of Harrier action.

Well done Pete pleased that you got some action down there this time. These images are hard won for sure people who go there for the first time and come away delighted don't realise how lucky they have been it takes a lot of "dead" time to capture one great image it's a true test of resiliance, fortitude and great skill as a photographer and you got the lot mate well done.

Bill

Thanks Guy's, comments much appreciated. The waiting game is worth it as the buzz of see one of these aircraft charging towards you is a real rush, Bill remember Cad West last year and the last operational week of the Jaguar's, now that was an experience not to have missed.

Thats a very dynamic F15 Pass Pete!....afterburners aswell......really like the angle you get from the top shelf at Bwlch........some nice shots here....the F15's were the icing on the cake for this trip........Cheers Barry

True about "dead" time, it does take alot of dedication to carry a full kitbag to the top of a potentially freezing cold hill, just to sit there for hours before something comes through. And dont even mention the word "blank":bang:
Still, everyone has to have a first time, and its the excitement that draws us back again and again.
Dean:)
