Male Orb Spider

A young male Orb Spider, this one hanging around the underside of a strap-like leaf tonight - there will likely be a spun web come morning.

ISO 400, f/10, 1/250sec, diffused flash.

Thanks Carl - mind you, I was less happy with the background though myself this time. That dark patch of green didn't process very well.

Do you use the IS when shooting macro ( and if so does it help ) ?

BG looks fine for me mate. Love the subtle lines as a result of the cordyline (?) leaves

Good shot and I like that it's in the position you found it.

It's on the leaf of the agapanthus Ian - the flowers have died back now but the stalks are still there, and the leaves are still looking good and green.
