Yeh used a SB-800 shoot through a umbrella with a remote trigger.

Yep, quite agree #2 is much better - far more involving pose, sharp and well composed

#2 for me also, lovely shot, dod you have someone take it or was it a tripod (if tripod well done for getting the focussing spot on )

Yeh it was with a tripod and I used a remote trigger to fire the camera and flash. I also prefer the 2nd one but like the colors more in the first one. It was in my Girlfriends back garden so next time shooting someone else I can improve on the picture.

I pretty sure it was only 1/128 Power so only very light but the umbrella give it a nice soft balanced light.
