HI, i have two lenses which where fitted to a Minolta wet film 35mm camera, lens one is a tokina sd 28-70mm 1:3.5-4.5, lens two is a centon mc auto zoom 1:4.0-5.6 f=70-210mm lens, my question please, is can i buy a minolta dslr digital camera so i can use these lenses again as i ditched the 35mm when i went over to digital , the smaller lens is brill for macro, my thanks for your valuable advice in advance.(lofty2):help:

Minolta AF or Minolta MC/MD (technically SR bayonet)?

Minolta sold their camera division to Sony so there are no longer any Minolta DSLRs (unless you buy a s/h 5D or 7D) but Sony Alphas inherit the Minolta experience/tradition.

If they are Minolta AF mount then they will fit & almost certainly work properly on a new Sony Alpha DSLR.
If they are SR bayonet then you would need an adapter & still be manual focus in which case I would say don't tie yourself just to looking at Sonys for the sake of those 2 lenses.

Hi heidfirst, Thanks again for your valuable info on my minolta lenses, will not fork out on a new camera body just for the sake of these lenses , I will put them on ebay along with two other nikon lenses someone might like to buy them! Regards (lofty2)
