My efforts.

A bad workman blames his tools, an aging one who borrowed a camera and didn't have time to familiarize himself with it properly has only himself to blame!!!

We were on the hill, looking down on the helicopter parking field so had a great view of the Navy parachute display team embarking.

The flotilla (which later in the day brought Dunkirk to mind) probably got cricks in their necks watching the Blades.

Not a huge crop - never sure where to position the aircraft in the frame so settled for this!

New for this year, the X-wing!

This modified Pitts special (nicknamed the Muscle) crabbed its way along the sea front like this - luckily it had gravity on its side (sorry about the wonky horizon!)

The last flying Canberra of this type (so it said in the programme).

The main event! Something I hope I'll remember for the rest of my life and never expect to see again.

The Canadian Lancaster known as Vera.

One of the escorting fighters, quite possibly the most beautiful killing machine ever made...

From the top, the prop even blurs slightly!

I dare say that had I shot in raw and spent ages tinkering, I could probably have brought out a little more detail in the pair but since they were painted black as night camouflage, this is how they actually look!

Goodbye - and thank you so much for all you did 70 years or so ago as well as on Saturday.

Thanks for looking and the kind comment, Bernie. I've only really scratched the surface with them, doing a certain amount of weeding of the real dross and picking the best SOOC shots. TBH, I am mildly impressed with the baby D3200 that I borrowed - my only gripes with it really are handling ones (like the AF point selector not being lockable - I missed LOADS of shots because I'd managed to shift the point to the far right...), the images are fine (and the extra reach that the crop sensor offers along with the croppability of the 24MP are handy!) IF Fuji had an equivalent lens to the 70-300VR (it's in the pipeline), I would have used that on the X-T1 and would have tried the 55-200 had I not left its memory card in the laptop!!!

Cheers, F###y! Yup, if we're spared!
