Miner bee, Hutchinson's Bank Nature Reserve, New Addington TQ 38029 61893
There was a big colony of these which I spent quite some time photographing.
I also got their parastoids and an ant attacking one.
The real size is 5.98 mm, magnification is 2.1

Miner bee trying to escape from an ant a myrmica species.
I am not sure what happened but I think it would have been killed eventually. I saw another ant removing a dead bee that presumably it had killed .
Both at 1.4 Magnification bee 6.96 mm ant 5.03 mm

That's an interesting set David.
Particularly the wasp spider.

"Excellent" set of macro/close up captures David.

Thank you both - wasp spiders are becoming more common now - I am not sure how far north and west they have got.
I was very surprised to see the ants attacking the bees I have only seen that before and never in the UK.
It was pretty tricky to photograph because they were moving and of course I wanted to get them both in focus.
