Another morning out at my local deer park. Usually I’d expect the rut to be in full swing by this weekend but it was suspiciously quiet and hardly any deer around the usual rutting areas.
Sika deer are probably my favourite deer at the park. They just seem so majestic. I think my main reason for liking them so much is their antlers seem to be ‘normal’ compared to the Red Deer, which have been bred to have huge crazy unnatural antlers.
I couldn’t decide if I liked portrait or landscape orientations so took both.

Even though there weren’t many stags around the only two I saw decided to have a fight in front of me but slightly down in the valley. Neither were really going for it like I’ve seen before. It started as if in slow motion and was a tentative affair.
