Yes
last night was my first clear moon pic. Unfortunately, my lens aint the best by a long shot (tamron 70-300), but with a little patience, several shots, an a crop of less than 5% of the whole image lol, a couple of adjustments in CS6, i got this:

thanks!

Better than anything i`ve managed , mine end up black background and large white thing lol, what settings did you use?

course harvey :)

Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 300.0mm (35mm equivalent: 140...
CCD Width: 7.67mm
Exposure Time: 0.0050 s (1/200)
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO Equiv.: 400
Whitebalance: Manual
Metering Mode: pattern
Exposure: Manual
Exposure Mode: Manual

I should have dropped ISO to 100 and left the shutterspeed for 1/2 second or longer, wouldnt have had so much noise then :(

Now its raining (great british summer is back), need to wait for a clear night again and re-try.

Used a little sharpening just to make the craters pop out a little more.

A longer exposure would have definitely helped. Good job though with those settings used.
