I really enjoyed taking portraiture shots, first attempts at it really.

Nice start, all i would say is usually eye contact with the model is very important (the eyes are gates to the soul) but it looks well lit and quite sharp so good start

To be honest, it looks more like a snap shot, that a portrait. If doesn't look like you've been interacting with the subject. just pointed the camera at her and pressed the button. It's not a bad grab shot though.
