Thankyou all for such positive coments. this was my first try at panning but i got some ok shots. it was made easier because it was at a drag strip and there were no corners so the vehicle acceleration was easier to judge

I don't think this one is as good i was stood in a different place and there was less intrest in the background to give the impression of speed, that said, this crazy contraption was flying and i hope i did it justice.

not up hill... funky crop angle, like i say i saw the limitation of lack of colour and intrest at the back and thought a jaunty angle might add... the origional was shot flat.
