I recently visited Staple Island, part of the Farne Islands off the coast of Northumbria to photograph puffins. It has been an ambition for some time and it was a real treat. The weather was ideal and I enjoyed seeing the puffins go about their daily activity of fishing, feeding their young, nesting and resting. They are great species to photograph and I can highly recommend it for anyone. Here are some of the pick of the bunch (and I mean bunch!). I was chuffed to get this first one retweeted by BBC Springwatch and Ray Mears yesterday. I hope you enjoy them.

That 1st is a fabulous shot, not surprised it was noticed :)

Great set mate! All fantastic captures, but love 1 and 2 (y)

Very nice set indeed (y) Making me reconsider going up there as i'd given up on it this time round :D

Number one really is a cracker, I'm also drawn to the last one just because of how dirty he/she is!

Excellent set of images I would be more than happy to have taken any of those images.
I'm just hoping they will still be there next week.Like yourself it's been a long time ambition of mine to go to Farne Islands on a wildlife shoot.
