Hi guys.
Attended a friends wedding last weekend and I got the chance to practice with my camera. They had a proper photographer and I was just doing it for fun.

They asked if I could do something interesting with them like colour popping etc and these are what I came up with.

On the whole not bad.

If you number them it will be easier for us lazy s o d s to help you out.

#1 needs a little more contrast

#2 I like

#3 I don't like colour and B&W together but in this case it works. Try and take the grooms head shadow off the ceiling and adjust the dark area at the bottom of the brides dress brighter.

#4 Again it is OK but your lens has probably let you down here.

#5 A bit too shiny and maybe the brides face should be in view.

#6 Only the woodchip is in focus.

#7 Not a big fan of selective colouring but if you are going to do it try and be subtle, for me the jewellery spoils the effect here.

My opinion and thanks for posting. (y)

I agree - on the whole not bad,

#1 - They're looking at the main tog, its needs eye contact

#2 - I like, but it looks as though there are some jpeg compression issues going on with the version you've posted here

#3 I'm not a selective colouriong fan - I'd like to see the original.

#4 I like - I think you were asking too much of the lens though

#5 I like this, but it would be better if he had a less shiny head

#6 Agree with above

#7 If you must selective colour you need to be subtle, pick just one colour or item and have the rest in black and white - like the red/purply flowers for example. I'd like to see the original of this but you also have eye contact issues

Cheers

Hugh
