Naples Pier after the storm

I rarely post landscape-type images as I'm no good at them, but I would appreciate some C&C on these please.

I am sure I have broken all sorts of rules - for example, they were all taken 'hand held' when I am sure more proficient photographers would have used a tripod.

The photo's were taken one evening a few weeks ago near Naples pier in SW Florida, just after a storm had rolled through, clearing just in time for sunset.

Thanks for looking.
:)

The sky in the first is epic.

Number 2 holds more interest for me. I like the silhouette.

I think 1 and 3 are the best: in 1 the sky is absolutely captivating - the colours, form and shape of the clouds are excellent, and the diagonal line of the pier really helps make the image interesting. In 3, the different crop with the sea (and the reflections of the sky on the waves) makes for a suitably different image from 1, but still with great colour and texture.

2 I found a bit distracting: is the sun the subject, or the pier?

Ruth, Geof, Lawrie, Matt - thank you kindly for taking the time to leave your interesting and encouraging comments. :)

I see #2 splits opinion!
