Never done this before

Hey, looking for any pointers and constructive criticism on this. Having recently purchased an 85mm prime lens i wanted to try some people shots, something i have NEVER done before. so my girlfriend was kind enough to be my guinea pig for a bit. As i say, i have never tried to shoot people before but i think it may be an area of interest in the future,

The depth of field looks a little too shallow because you are losing sharpness towards the bottom of the her face. I would try and remove the halo behind her head. I think it works great as a mono photograph though.

Nice pose think its under exposed by half a stop maybe, and try a tighter crop remove the halo also the left eye look darker
