Went out tonight to try and improve on the disappointment of last night and had a lot more success tonight.

Same setup 18-55mm reversed + 1.4x TC + Flash diffused and torch as focus light.

These are cool lil critters. Where are you finding them? Can't say I've ever come across them before.

You can normally find them in leaf litter in damp conditions. The ones above are under 1mm in size but some do grow to a massive 7mm.
 
I reckon the first is Dicytoma fusca (note Dicytoma not Dicytomina)

Yeah they are everywhere now.... infact getting a little tired of the same old ones showing up. lol
