Hi Andy,

The lighting looks a little flat, but that's no different to what a lot of studios do. My only real critique would be the bottoms of her feet look a little gruby. A small thing I know, but it draws my eye straight away.

thanks UE.

Agree on the feet, ill touch that up.

I understand this is very flat, generally thats the look i went for - its a picture for me and for pics of my kids i generally like them
flat and rather bright.

Thanks

A

you can do something in pp to alter the flatness
but thats what you want...
you got a result there...

Re the flat lighting, you would be surprised how many people actually want that sort of thing in the family portraits, try do do something more creative and they start to moan about the shadows, and its no good telling them that's how Rembrandt lit his subjects, most of them have never heard of him.

But as the others have said dirty feet are a no no in this sort of photograph, Children and Adults alike.

Thanks for the comments guy's. I shall retouch the feet when I can.

Other than that I happy with my first off camera flash experience
