is anyone using this lens for birds

trying to find one to try or buy?
 
Cant give you a link but i read somewhere the lens tripod mount is not available yet,hope ime wrong.

I was hoping to improve on my lightweight birding set up with the Nikon 1 and that new CX 70 300mm lens

I have been looking at the Olympus OM-D E-M5 - I still have a couple of M4/3 mirror-less bodies from a few years ago plus a few adaptors etc., ….. Although the crop factor is x 2, (rather than x 2.7 of the Nikon 1 system), the IQ is supposed to be better and Olympus or Panasonic are about to release a good PRO 300mm prime lens … they have a 40 150mm f2.8 PRO lens now but it is £1,300 and I have read mixed reports, also Image Stabilisation is in the body for Oly M4/3 camera, so that's a plus.
 
One of the members on another forum i belong has just got rid of his nikon FF and bought the Olympus you mention,he is raving about not only the IQ but also the build quality he has kept his V2 but that could be to keep his place on a Nikon forum.
