anyone used this so far yet?

the review seems to be good on this, and it would appear to be a marked improvement on the 12-24mm, but the price is still unattractive.

Is it replacing the 12-24? That is/was a constant f/4, the 10-24 is 3.5-4.5. Not sure it really sounds like much of a step forward...
 
My reading of that was it was much of a much

similar build quality and almost the same level of performance in the overlapping range.

The gain of 2mm was commented on thus

....the impression that the zoom range was forced down to 10 mm.

Both lenses are pretty expensive for what is essentially consumer, not pro glass.....
