OK then, let's see YOUR infrared images please.

Hugely satisfying day out on my birthday at Stowe Water Gardens, Bucks. Took us FIVE hours to get around it all !

280 IR shots, plus 35 colour, managed to get a really good 41 mono IRs, very happy :)

All shots are Nikon D70, 720nm, Nikon 18-70mm, 400ISO.

Hi Russ,
for a moment there those images looked pretty normal colour wise, but on closer look the infrared spectrum really makes a massive difference, especially in the first image. I particularly like how that snow covered peak is the focal point of the image.

I bought my first ever infrared camera a week or two ago and love it. Here are my first attempts with my GX1.

So far enjoying it immensely. So much so that I forget to take photographs with my regular camera. The workflow takes some getting used to.

I think the castle shot works really well and is helped by the use of a square format and a border.

Perhaps something different, IR indoors..

And a more conventional IR landscape..

I'm liking the indoor shot. Alastair. It's got a split toned feel to it which I feel gives it a gothic sort of mood.

Thanks @phodru, there's a spit tone been applied in LR, then a couple of radial filters to define focal points (the second is quite subtle, but does make a difference).

That doesn't look like an Infra red image. It just looks like an inverted image.

That's my mistake, I inverted the layer and did not swap the red & blue's.

You don't need to do a red/blue channel swap if you are converting to mono - only really needed to keep skies blue in IR colour images.

Colin, This image is not shouting Infrared to me, It looks like a normal monochrome image. What are you using to shoot it ?

Hi, I used an Olympus OMD EM5 with Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 lens and a Neewer 58mm IR720 filter. Camera settings ISO 100, f8, AWB, on a tripod with cable release.
Processed in PSE12 (but jpeg file) I swapped the red & blue channels, then adjusted the Hue/Saturation levels.

I normally convert my IR shots to b&w, but I decided to play with colour on this one to see how it turned out. I can't make up my mind whether it works or not, so I'd be interested in any thoughts.

Nice shots Paul - infrared really suits graveyards:)
About time this thread got resurrected too

Does anybody know anybody who can convert a Nikon D2 to infrared?

Still watching this thread - will get some of mine up soon too.

@zeameth is yours fixed wavelength or full spectrum?
If fixed, what wavelength are you using?
Hi jules.

I replaced the hot mirror with a UV one that I cut from a hoya filter.

I figured that way i could experiment with different wavelengths with the use of screw in filter. So far I've got a 77mm 720nm and a 77mm 580nmI think. All the above bar the last yellow\gold shot were taken with the 720.

Hope that helps
Zeameth
