Ahh Astley Pit.
I take it it's the mining thing on the left hand side as you go through Astley Green? I was near there with the BBC a while ago, and wondered about approaching to see if I could get any shots, but the only time I looked, it all looked closed off.
How did you manage it?

Its open to the public at certain times, W/E usually, I just wandered in with the camera. Ian
PS If it closed you can always get in over the fields at the back.
