hi

which if any of these two shots works the best

took the camera out today and took 40 odd shots , not particularly happy with them , but I do quite like this one of the wife

but ........... which one works best ?

I prefer the colour one, but I think a good mono conversion would be better still, mainly because the blue sail (of the Enterprise) dinghy in the background is distracting. I don't think your attempt is far out (and I'm not great at mono conversions anyway) but I think the blacks could do with being blacker and I'd be half-tempted to artificially over-sharpen to give a slightly grainy look.
