Peregrine Falcon?

Had a great day roaming the countryside yesterday, spotted many different birds I have never seen before including Black Grouse and Skylark. I also captured this soaring high above, just on my return to the car. As far as I can see it appears to be a Peregrine Falcon, but am happy to be corrected! Edit - Appears to be a Kestrel!
Not a great shot but it was far off, so a heavy crop.

Agreed, it looks like a kestrel to me, and sounds like one from the brief description.
