Nice framing in #1. 2 is good, nice colours, but lacks a distinct focal point or subject. The light is also a little hard - maybe shooting in the early morning or later in the day would be easier, when the light at this time of year is softer. The skies will also be more 'expressive' early and late. There is a sense of there being a left leaning horizon in # 2, though that might just be an illusion.
