Pier & yachts

A calm Irish Sea is a rarity in winter, but it does happen occasionally. These yachts were taking advantage of it, so I took advantage of them, and semi-framed the pair with the end of Fleetwood Pier.

Sorry Tony but overall it doesn't quite work for me. There is two photos here (the boats and the pier) but the large dark area of the pier dominates too much to compliment the yachts. Having said that the diagonal does lead the eye to them. And exposure is good on sky, sea and yachts.

I still would prefer to see one or other however.:shrug:

... although I can see merit in the framing bit ... just think there is too much of the pier ... imo ...

Also think it would improve the shot to have a bit of space left of frame ... so the boats don't sail off the edge so soon ...
