Pop flash blocker

Anyone come across one? There are plenty diffusers but I really fancy a light blocker so I can use the popup flash as a commander much like the su-800 for Nikon. Instead of getting pocket wizard and etc. I really don't understand why they cannot make the flash go fully mute even with the setting for the flash set to turned off. It's ridiculous.
 
Awesome that...but question remains why can't they program the damn thing to turn off completely...

If the flash was programmed to stay off it simply could not trigger the optical sensor of the external flash you are using.

because the IR emission?
isn't that off another LED not the normal flash light tube
