I was asked to take some photographs on Sunday of a 50th wedding anniversary and managed to meet some great people.
I hope I did them justice.

Extreme highlights seem a bit overdone. These look like they have been processed to look kinda grity/bring out the details... and it works, just not sure that's the most flattering thing to do with portraits.

Just my 2p.

They're great portraits and full of character but ,as mentioned by cokebottles above, the processing is proving a little overpowering in these - I'm noticing the processing before the subject :(

LOve to see the originals without too much PP - they have bags of interest!

I like the processing on #1 and #4.

#3 & #5 are a little over done for my taste, but I know there are others that would love them.

#2, I think the eyes need some work on them to match the rest of the photo. It's a brilliant expression and you look to the eyes to make it stand out even more, but they're a little dull.

#1 is my favourite :)

Hi Trev,

Sorry but I can't help feeling they are a bit overcooked. The tones or levels treatment makes them look a little HDR or just unnatural.

I'd love to see these with less PP - just a quick levels tweak and sharpen in either in colour or B&W.

Sorry just my 2pth
