Of course, the thing with Red Pandas is that they are often out of sight, or sleeping, so trips to see them can often be fruitless. Funnily enough, on my last visit to Chester, I remarked to a friend that it was the first sound I'd heard from a Red Panda, as one of them did seem quite annoyed at the other; this would have been, I've since learned, a couple of weeks after the babies arrival.
This pair were out exploring their new home for a good spell when I saw them, but were obviously a bit nervous still. I love how quietly they go about their business.
