i've been trailing these 2 hawks during my lunch breaks.
today, i saw the pair's "hawklings"

Hi Jordan

Looks like a challenging location! - It will be interesting to see how they develop. Do they normally nest in buildings, or do you think the recent tornadoes have brought them there?

hi, richard,

they do nest in man-made structures. these 2 were here way before the tornadoes hit NC 4/16.

today i was able to talk to someone who works in the building across the street. his office has a vantage view of the nest. he said he's been watching these 2 building the nest and rearing the young since march.

btw, there are 4 chicks, not 3. just found that out today.
i'll post some new pictures when i get the opportunity.
