Round our way it's Christmas day
The Church is open, theres a sign to say,
some Christian folk singing, there to prey,
along the road, a different creed, his shop is open,
he sells papers and magazines to read,
He tells me he don't celebrate, its just another day,
apparently like the taxi driver next door he says,
they say, 'people still need taxis, visit people - go and play',
yet along the road the park is empty, the swings dont sway,
no childish laughter, brown leaves are falling, the sky is grey,
think I will head home, after all, it may be xmas,
but to many, it's just another day......
