46100 "Royal Scot" came pounding through our local station this afternoon. She was traveling light engine from the West Somerset railway at Bishops Lydeard up to Crewe with a single carriage in tow. The gods were smiling on me as just before she hove into view at the top of Filton Bank the rain stopped and the sun poked its hear=d through the clouds just long enough to get a couple of images.
The damp air meant there was plenty of steam on view
This is my favourite from the thirty, or so, that I shot and I thought I would have a go at converting it to monochrome - not something I normally attempt. How did I do?
