Scenic locations for railway around the midlands

Based in Sutton and would like to take some more shots of mainline steam or similar, Went out to See Britannia yesterday @ Marston Green but a pretty uninspiring location and I just didn't know if there was anywhere I could go with a decent back drop, a corner to get a better perspective or a wide angle to do a high speed pan

Anyone got any suggestions or examples?

Dont know your area, but I have in the past gone on google maps and looked for isolated areas of track, then checked the OS map to see contours. It's not pefect, but it can be a good starting point.
