I think that the focus has been missed a little on the first two. The focus looks good on the third, but there you are hampered by the foilage. Definately a flash is the way to go. The single most improvement that my macro photography ever witnessed.

A nice set and very interesting subjects #1 is my favourite, I would however clone out the errant leaves in the foreground, and that would make it a very well composed image.
I am just starting to use a flash makes a big difference when you get it right!

Thanks for the comments! yes I think your right about the focus......I thought it was just my eyes at first......

What flash do you both use if you don't mind me asking.....?

Hi Tom.

You can use your pop up flash for now, or if you have a hot-shoe mount flash...do what I've been doing (for now of course) make a device to direct the light down to the lens.

Yes I've seen some of the makeshift flash on the Macro kit thread and there looks like some pretty good home-mades on there (y)
