Selsey Lifeboat Station - demolition

It's a shame that it's at the end of the pier, they could have done what they did at Tenby and sell it to turn into a house and build the new one next to it. The problem is some these modern lifeboats don't fit in the old lifeboat houses as easy. Time for locals to get some great images before its replaced. There is a photographer going around trying to photograph all of the stations, their image of the old Penlee station was very good.

This is the guy and his article on the Penlee lifeboat house I was thinking of:

Some of those images really do the place justice considering the loss of the Penlee Lifeboat in 1981. 2 years later the lifeboat moved to Newlyn habour but they have kept the old lifeboat house as a memorial to the crew who lost their lives in 1981.
